Erm…

May 24, 2007

People, people, damn it all. Poly has really become such a pain in the ass sometimes, with assignments and projects cropping up the desk every second, damn i need more sleep.

Putting that aside, life so far has really been well…extremely stagnant. Nothing out of the ordinary actually…..oh wait!!! Hoho i remember a little party held by someone named WS Tan. Former Gabrielite, NCC Air Cadet, had his birthday at pasir ris chalet(can’t be bothered about the full name of exact name of the location) It isn’t totally about the party itself but what happened in the course of it all. The usual egg-ing, game of taiti, truth or dare and liquor consuming to name a few. At about 2.30-3am, i was walking around the resort, shops were closed, couples engaged intimately with each other, quiet surroundings. Then all of a sudden, this malay kid/guy came up to me, he was all covered in blood with visible slash wounds on the arm as well as on the neck and back, was looking for assistance badly. I offered to call the ambulance for him but he ran off to the nearby CHEERS mart nearby before i could finish my sentence. Turning back i saw 2 more malay dudes staring through the fence as the wounded individual ran off to the mart, i think they were the culprits but i guess they just 2 more dumbasses looking for trouble, after a brief “staring game”, I walked briskly over to the convinience store to check whether he was “okay”. Leaving a blood trail that led to the mart, i saw him unconsious on the floor. The store manager quickly seeked the assistance of the security guards, soon after, the ambulances and patrol cars arrived. I just sat at some stone bench nearby to enjoy the wind, and wait for the rest to return. Everyone knew about this little incident that happened in the middle of the night, and when everyone returned, all were talking about it. I guess that night at the chalet really was some eye opener. First time i have ever seen such shit occur. Well next time your at a resort, watch out, don’t get slashed heh.

A Situation

May 1, 2007

Nanyang Polytechnic, it’s quite an awesome place, with nice facilities, and all. But, there is one situation that really should be handled for the sake of the school’s population. Canteens and food courts are getting overcrowded because of the increased intake every year. Somehow the large crowd really makes me lose my appetite.  I was at this dialog with the directors of the school not long ago. Most of the students that were present commented about the situation of the canteens. And well, it seemed that the biggest problem is with the variety of food and places to settle down. For me, i’m more concerned about the seats in each canteen; food court; etc; . I just hope i don’t starve =P
